Tayside Mountain Rescue Named Official Charity Partner for the 2026 Forfar Triathlon

We are delighted to announce that Tayside Mountain Rescue (TMR) will once again be our official charity partner for the 2026 Forfar Triathlon.

This long-standing partnership is one we are incredibly proud of. TMR have been an integral part of Tri Angus events since 2017, and thanks to the generosity of our participants, sponsors and supporters, the 2025 Montrose Triathlon raised £3,000, bringing the total raised for TMR to over £30,000 across the partnership.

Supporting a vital local service

Tayside Mountain Rescue provides a vital, volunteer-led emergency service across our region, responding to incidents often in challenging conditions. As part of this partnership, a team of TMR volunteers will once again be on site at the Forfar Triathlon, providing first aid cover and helping to keep athletes safe on race day.

No one heads outdoors expecting to need help, but TMR are on call 24/7, 365 days a year when the unexpected happens. Their volunteers respond in all conditions, without expectation of payment, and rely entirely on fundraising to provide the specialist equipment needed to carry out this life-saving work. Every donation made through the event is genuinely appreciated.

How participants can support TMR in 2026

There are several ways that participants can help raise funds for Tayside Mountain Rescue at the 2026 event:

Every contribution, big or small, helps Tayside Mountain Rescue continue their vital work.
